Two Central Texas bars sued for music licensing

From Austin Business Journal today-

“Two Central Texas bars are being sued for using copyright-protected music without a license, or failing to pay for the license.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers filed 21 separate infringement actions against nightclubs, bars and restaurants in 13 states, including against the owners of Nephew’s in San Marcos and the Cockpit and Sister’s Edge II in Austin.”

The Cockpit could possibly be the best named bar in Austin, and of course has a reputation, but we were not familiar with Sister’s Edge II until just googling it. As it turns out, its Austin’s only “faaabulous” women’s nightclub. Interesting.

Back to ASCAP. What the fuck? Out of all the bars/club NOT paying ASCAP in Austin, two gay clubs get sued? Looks like ASCAP hates the gays.

Personally, the on-line coding language “HTML” sounds/looks like jibberish spoken from that of a rahtard 7 year old. That is why “WP” deserves a gold medal for this one touch templating system (which includes widgets that can be rearranged without editing this bizarre “HTML”). But, for more advanced customizations, the “HTML” code in themes can also be edited.

Couldn’t Blog A Lot Lately, In Jail

The team at EB//BG recently took a market research trip to Marfa, TX. The highlights included spending a nite in jail with a murderer with bail of one million dollars, being wasted off 4Loko, beer, trucker speed and the pot that had to be eaten so Sheriff Van Zandt wouldn’t find it and walking several miles to a motel, later getting a $213 open container ticket on a bike, considering buying a haunted house/gallery, and getting pulled over again en route back to Austin and having the car ripped apart by two policemen who left the fake pile of dog shit always kept in my center console on the driver’s seat. Needless to say… mixed emotions about west Texas cops.

Other than that, there was a lot of good art and fun to be had in this small town. But after six days of heavy drinking and partying, the last night was spent sober. That’s when things got weird. The total silence and darkness of Marfa (which is believed by some to be a haunted town) was interrupted only by the creepiest motherfucking train noises you could possibly imagine, which grew louder and louder to the point that we were convinced the train was for sure derailing and was about to slam into the house in which we were staying and kill us, thus turning us into two more Marfan ghosts, as if it needed any more. So we left.

Back to EB//BG. TuezGayz should be happening this coming Tuesday 5/25. Metal night is getting bigger and more fun every week. And the weekends are crazy as always. This is Friday:
